Good hotel .. but fix the evening meal service
The hotel has been renovated to reflect its star rating, despite what others have written in earlier reviews. The rooms are large and comfortable and cleanliness was good. The heating system is a little undersized for the area of the room. The Spa area is good and fully equipped. There are 2 large quiet areas which even if the pool is busy allow you relax. The water in the jacuzzi was a little cold for my wife. Parking at the hotel could be difficult if you are in a busy period but this is a common problem in Seefeld. There is public parking near by. Despite what is written in other reports, the breakfast offers a wide choice and is plentiful.
All as expected so far…. however … we were on half board and this is where there is need for big improvements in organisation of the service. no problems for the appetizer because it is buffet..Also the food (when it arrives ) is quite tasty. However the ordering system and the service just doesn’t work, and people are left waiting for a long time, even though there was limited menu ( not à la carte). The staff seem not to be clear on their roles and often are confused about the orders. The customers get angry and the staff frustrated. The problem is how orders are taken and transferred. The chefs whose role is to plate the food, are waiting with little to do. For the price we paid this aspect ruins an otherwise good experience.
