So good we came back for a second visit!!
This is an utterly charming and very personal hotel that is a real haven from the madness that is Havana. We spent the first 2 nights of our two week holiday here and enjoyed it so much we decided to return for our last 2 nights which coincided with Christmas. We were looked after superbly; a lovely room with great balcony, excellent breakfasts and a very chilled garden, bar and roof top terrace. The team here could not have been more attentive and friendly and really made our visit. Personally I think staying a bit out of the older part of the city works really well and the area has a great vibe and is only a short taxi journey away. Highly recommended from a seasoned traveller!

Beautiful Oasis in Havana
The Claxon was a surprisingly modern, clean and adorable boutique hotel. The service was excellent, and the housekeeping was the best I’ve ever seen. We attended the jazz show where the singer and flutist were so talented. Finally, the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the establishment.

My wife and I just spent 5 amazing nights at the Claxon Hotel Boutique. This hotel is so beautiful and charismatic. It's modern and has charming cuban colonial vibes. We loved it !! The staff was phenomenal, incredibly professional and went above and beyond for us. Special thanks to Andres and Cinthia at the front desk for their extreme kindness and giving special attention to every detail in order to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. They offered great suggestions and helped us with our restaurants/taxis reservations! The rooms are perfectly designed, extremely clean and have very comfortable beds !! The on-site restaurant, Fangio Habana, is fabulous and offers great live music daily ! Breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat ! The food is simply delicious... The hotel is located in Vedado which is a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood of Havana, just a few minutes outside of the Old Havana ! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend without any hesitations. Thank you everyone for making us feel so welcomed !!

On our Trip in Cuba we were in several 5 Stars Hotel and when we compare Claxon Hotel to them; Claxon is then an 10 Star Hotel. The Food was great..We had the best gnocchis in the world. Even in Italy they don't make such good gnocchis.Also we have seen lots of musicians in Cuba, but the Concert on the rooftop was the best we experienced in Cuba with very good cocktails. A Big thank you to the great Staff of Claxon, that we could make such a great experience at the end of our Trip.

I have nothing to say but great things about this hotel and its lovely staff. From the moment we arrived everyone was very accommodating and the welcome drink was fantastic. They will do whatever it takes to make your trip a great experience and always have a smile on their faces and are happy to give recommendations. Will be coming back!

If you want a Cuban hotel, this is not it because everything works properly! From hot water to great food to rooftop entertainment to a generator in case of brown outs. The staff is excellent!

The property was not what I expected. It was a little dated. I have physical limitations, so an elevator is essential for me. When I checked in the hotel the elevator was not accessible for my entire stay. Although the front workers were accommodating. One of the workers named Alejandro made friends with an outside driver and tour guide that I hired that I soon after got rid of due fraud and abuse of service. He assumed and informed another guide that I hired that I was an angry woman so he should prepare himself. He also tried to charge me for simple information such giving recommendations to close by restaurants near the hotel. He stated that if he gave a recommendation, I would have to tip him and the establishment. Regarding the hotel amenities, the television rarely worked. The worst part of my stay was managing to walk up and down the stairs. It limited my ability to explore the country more to enjoy my trip for reasons that I physically was in pain and exhausted. I am requesting some kind of discount or rebate. I was able to talk with the hotel owner who mentioned that the elevator would not be accessible and needed to be replaced. He knew it was my birthday Sunday and promised to celebrate me due to the elevator situation, but never did.

The Claxon gave much more than I could have asked for. The hotel is exceptional, but what really makes it phenomenal is the staff. Much like it's facade and interior design, the staff seem to be the best curated collective of individuals talent could find. Ania: You are hands on, and behind the scenes. You are everywhere, and nowhere, leaving your mark. Continue the excellent work you do, as simple a refreshing the large vase of flowers in the lobby to curating some of the most talented musicians (Elias, Julito) Cuba has to offer. Claudia: Thank you for always meeting us with a smile. We genuinely enjoyed your humorous stories and conversing with you. Claudia, your opinion (ginger tea) and guidance was instrumental to our wonderful trip. Thank you Alejandro: A charismatic man with an energetic flare that was contagious. We spoke often throughout the visit, each time filled with genuine curiosity and thought. You wear your spirit on your shoulders, and it was refreshing to see.
