The property is very colourful and has some cute details. From outside in green and easy to find and to see and my room had pink walls. From the rooftop interesting views. The property has also a generator and can run electricity if the power is cut-off, which happened very often. Avoid the hot humid days or be prepared. I was prepared and can cope with the heat. Unique is the owner Carlos, very friendly and good for a joke...and I have never seen before such a packed fridge with cool drinks (2 Eur each/May 2024). Communication in Spanish is necessary. Viazul Bus station is in walking distance. Carlos organized for my the taxi transfer to/from the Beach Faro Luna...and I am sure if you need something or need assistance during your trip he will assist you...be prepared if something does not work out..go with the flow and take it how it comes across. In general they do have big problems in Cuba with petrol, which drives the taxi prices higher.

Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht im Zentrum von Cienfuegos und in 10 Gehminuten von der Station Viaazul. Carlos ist ein toller Gastgeber. Tipps zur Reise zur Festung Jagua sind unbezahlbar!

Uber-lovely host, Carlos. Great roof terrace.
Carlos was super friendly. A fab free fruit cocktail on day 2, and- above and beyond- he brought our forgotten cables and plug to the bus station. How super-lovely. :) :) Breakfast was yum, and the roof terrace was a great cool area ( in both senses of the word). Wifi for about 20 minutes a day though, either c 8 am or 11 p.m. It seemed. Highly recommend

Carlos est un hôte charmant, accueillant, sérieux. Sa maison est colorée à son image. Il propose une chambre agréable, air conditionné. Une chouette terrasse sur le toit permet de se reposer après la balade en ville. Le petit déjeuner est pris quelques mètres plus loin ds la maison d'un ami. Only two blocks walk to the central main avenue “Paseo del Prado”, the Casa de las Banderas” (the house with the many flags on the roof) is an excellent choice: a very nice and helpful host, a nicely tiled room with two beds (and excellent mattresses), a warm shower with good pressure, a little safe for your valuables and a cosy rooftop terrace. In the big fridge you find softdrinks and beers. Cienfuegos is by far the cleanest city we visited in Cuba and the walk along the Malecon to Punta Gorda is a must. At the end of the walk you can swim, have a nice lunch (quite cheap) and visit the hotel in Moorish style on the way back. The yellow villa on Punta Gorda used to be Fidel Castro’s favourite spot in Cienfuegos. He certainly knew where to look for a fine spot…

Carlos was an amazing host and his home is super funky, clean and has a great view from the rooftop terrace. He was super helpful with any questions we had and was always available. We had a wonderful stay here and highly highly recommend staying at this casa when your in Cienfuegos. Thank you so much Carlos.

Un 10de10 lo super recomiendo. Carlos muy simpático nos recibió en su casa y nos recomendó sitios para comer muy buenos. Se fue la luz pero el tiene un generador asi que guuuayyyy. Aunque la luz se fue en las calle es muy seguro nosatras pusimos la luz del movil y genial. jejeje si eso pasase en mi país ya nos quedamos si movil.😂😂😂

Carlos ha sido el mejor host que hemos tenido en nuestra ruta por Cuba, una persona encantadora, auténtica, cercana y humilde que siempre recordaremos. No trató de vendernos nada, y compartió con nosotros agradables conversaciones así como parte de la realidad de los cubanos. Una bonita casa colonial con varios pisos, habitación cómoda y limpísima, con aire acondicionado y generador preparado para los cortes de luz. Carlos nos permitió incluso hacer la colada, sin coste añadido. Lo recomendamos totalmente.
