Decent stay. Please add hot water
Room was clean. Somewhat outdated. I assume hot water for the sink may have been an extra charge. Bath water ran hot and cold, wouldn't stay hot consistently. Staff was very friendly.

OK for the price
The hotel was OK but not what I would have expected for an 8.2 rating. There was peeling ceiling near the door and dead bugs behind the bed when I moved the bed to plug the clock and lamp in that were unplugged. The room was otherwise clean and it had a fridge and microwave. Shower worked good. Bed was comfortable with adequate pillows. The continental breakfast was just carbs. No fresh fruit, eggs, or yogurt. Dated hotel with recent paint and LV flooring. I woke up the first night with tapping on the floor like a small animal with their nails packing on the floor. I grabbed my flashlight and searched but could not find anything. I later realized that it was a dog in the room above mine.

Needs better cleaning rituals
I just wanted a clean place to stay. The bathroom is an essential place to have clean. The bathroom drain was clogged. No actual reason for there to be wads of hair clogging it and ruining a basic shower. The outside bathroom light didn't even work. If you're not staying for long then it's an ok place to stay. It seems safe. But the shower made me wonder of all the other areas that just weren't being cleaned properly.

Id stay again
Clean place,a small odor in room, we always carry air freshener. GPS couldnt direct us there, but Ike was awesome with directions and check-in. Very nice and friendly.

actually serving breakfast would've helped
older but well-maintained. clean, with fridge and microwave. mattress was a bit saggy, woke up with a sore back. worst of all - everywhere seems to be doing it these days - is advertising "breakfast" but only offering coffee, juice, pop tarts, bagels, and muffins :P

Remodeled hotel. They did a great job. Room smelled clean and was clean. Hot water is hot and has great pressure. Very close to St.Augustine public beach/pier. Not walkable but great for biking. Lots of small breakfast/lunch spots on way. Best value/experience we have found in 4 visits per year for over 10 years. Downside…sucky TV with sucky programming. However, we have pads/phones and watched our own. No biggie. Remember to ask about the adopted “hotel” cat. Love this place. ;)w
