Not worth the money. There are other properties in the area in much better shape than this one for minimal additional cost. The service was fine but the property is run down.

Room was super small for a suite. Lock on the door was broke and the door itself didn’t shut all the way. The bedding had random burns and holes in it. The floors were full of stains and there was a dirty towel hanging on the shower curtain rod when we checked in. The room also had a foul odor. The resort as far as amenities was great. The pool, beach and activities were great. However, I’m not sure i could ever stay in the rooms again.

Extremely Disappointed, would not recommend
Planned family 2 room stay at Island Grand at Tradewinds. Despite the lobby seeming relatively nice we were shocked at the incredibly poor condition of the property. Clearly they had not recovered from recent hurricanes, and several of the restaurants were closed. The overall poor condition cannot be completely blamed on the hurricanes as it was clear the property had not been well maintained for some time. It looked nothing like the pictures and the rooms themselves were not clean, in disrepair and felt more like a cheap motel. We spent a short time at the property and knew we couldn't stay the night and left. The only positive I will give is that the refunded most of our stay (not the resort fee or the parking).

Our reservations were cancelled by the hotel due to the hurricane. A message was sent through Expedia. However we have been unable to reach them by phone to confirm which is what is required according to the travel insurance agent. We cannot get a refund until we reach the hotel. It is a very frustrating situation. We are sorry we were not able to stay at this location. We may try again in the future. They indicated they would be closed indefinitely but we hope they are able to recover from the storm damage.

The beach and the main shared areas are well staffed, clean and pleasant. Our main issue was an AC that work well, bathroom ceiling had a leak, the tub was clogged and there some roaches in the room. There was a lack of attention to these details when it was mentioned to staff.

Catherine at the lobby bar and the Flying Bridge restaurant is amazing! Great personality, amazing customer service and wonderful person! Enjoyed the palm court restaurant, mini golf, high tide 3 story freestyle slide, zip line and most of all the pool games. Room was very accessible to both beach and pool and very easy walk to RumFish for s’mores. The elevator was slow at the part of the hotel I stayed in and would suggest them putting a little stair case next to elevator that goes to the 2nd floor. Very great time at hotel enjoyed it and would recommend to family and friends who want to spend a week or to on the beach.
