Decided to do a road trip rather than fly. Thought we would stop in Pensacola, but
no hotels available and had to drive another hour and ended up here. Check-in took a long time, and the clerk told us they were the only hotel that had any rooms left within an hour drive of Pensacola. The hotel had been recently renovated and looked nice from the outside and in the lobby, but there was a chemical odor the moment you walked in the doors. That odor continued into the room. I think it was due to the carpet which had several colors, including black, which I observed on my feet after a trip to the bathroom! When I woke, the room was filled with light. A huge spotlight shone in the windows as we were below the hotel sign. There was only a thin see thru curtain. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but when went down for breakfast at 9 am, we were told there was no more food left!!! We ran out the door!
