Ubon itself has taken a hit from the closure due to co-vid. This place was nicely kept up despite obvious lack of business recently. Nicer than others I visited nearby. Little too well lit at night. I'll bring my eye shades next time. Local stray dogs not as aggressive as many places in Thailand are having problems with. Especially at night. A short safe walk to the airport. More than enough street food 5 minit walk down alleys towards the local main strip. It's the neighborhood where you might have only seen squat toilets twenty years ago. I'm sure they are still in plenty houses in the neighborhood but this place has all the comforts a westerner would enjoy. Minor maintenance issues and I mean minor. Chair was missing a screw and 30percent of the screws needed tightening. Tightened what i could.
A/C, fridge, hot water worked fine. T,V. not so much. Wi-fi was great as usual for Thailand in general. Simple , pleasant, reasonable , close to airport. Met my needs perfectly.
Could have happily stayed there much longer. If I go to Ubon again I hope it will still be there.
