It was fine for an overnight and very convenient to I80. That said it's not easy to find.

Elyria Courtyard Marriott was great!

Room service
The cleaning of the room was not the best.
We only had our towels changed 3 times and never had the trash removed or our bed done.

A gem in the middle of nowhere. Room is spacious, very clean and comfortable, with simple furniture but very practical. Staff is great. Overall I'm really satisfied. But it's behind what looks like an "abandoned" shopping mall. So basically it's in the middle of nowhere.

Our reservation with Expedia added the breakfast fee auto added at the reservation time. Per hotel staff, the breakfast is ala crate, not included with the visit. Requested extended stay until 3 to 4 . pm, declined stating cleaning staff prefers to be done around 2 and therefore we were offered extended until 2pm. After the first night, we were told that their records indicate that we check out at 2 pm the day before our check out day. We ended up being given a new set of key cards because the original one were expiring the day before. The heating system was a hit or miss. The first night it stayed at the same temperature even with the change of the setting. We were asked to join membership however I am not sure if we would want to be members for this hotel. I hope it was only this location and not multiple other Marriott hotels.

not really a courtyard
This hotel is well kept and the staff was friendly and took care of me. For that, 5 stars. But I have a problem with it that they shortcut several of the amenities such that it seems like they are trying to market a side-of-freeway hotel in a sketchy neighborhood as a courtyard to command a higher price. For example, the business center is a single computer and printer out in the open alongside the checkin counter - no privacy. The pool is the side of a postage stamp .. no one uses it bc it has no practical use. And the gym was a few treadmills and some sad free weights. I left with the impression that Marriott has a checklist for what a hotel has to have to be called a Marriott and these people did the bare minimum to check all the boxes. It's a fine hotel but it shouldn't be a courtyard. I expected more because of the brand and left feeling like I overpaid.
