Cool hostel, horrible bed
Good hostel but just because of the rooms, I would not come back.
Rooms have time adjusted AC that only works after sunset to cool down room for sleeping. If you want to rest during the day, then it's too hot.
Mattress is some kind of none-breathable type, so you get very sticky to it.
Also the design of bed frame is very bad if you get the top bed. There's no place to put a bottle of water without the risk of it to roll down during the night. Should be a shelf at least.
Outside on the other hand is great. Hammocks, events, spacious, pool, and restaurant and good happy hour. They also have scooter rental with ok price.
But I preferred to support a local family down the road for scooter.
This hotel/hostel is the first in my many travels in Thailand who want to keep your passport (or pay 2000 deposit) . They don't make reservation on credit card.
Personally I'd stay somewhere else, but could drop by for chill and events. That's just how bad my experience was with the beds and AC policy.
Sidenote: there's a club at the beach who play load music to at least 2 or 3 am several days a week. This music reaches your bedroom. If you're a light sleeper, then this hostel is not your cup of tea.
