Overall the stat was great. The room once we turned the AC down smelled musty but nothing some air fresheners couldn’t fix. It was nice to have a fridge, microwave and stovetop since we were there for 4 days.

Hotel Review: Pleasant Stay with Minor Noise Issues I recently stayed at Wood Spring Suites Kansas City Airport, and overall, it was a very good experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained—both the room and common areas felt fresh and tidy. The staff were friendly and professional, and check-in was smooth and efficient. The room itself was nicely furnished, with comfortable bedding and a modern bathroom. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary toiletries. The only downside was the noise level. Depending on the time of day, it could get a bit loud—possibly due to thin walls. While it wasn’t enough to ruin the stay, light sleepers might want to bring earplugs or request a quieter room if possible. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and service—just be aware of potential noise, especially during peak hours. Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Odd smell

The room was fine, but the smell of the hotel was horrible. There was a mildew and sewage smell that permeated the hallways and elevator. My room was fine and spacious but the shower was missing a handle.

Okay but wouldn’t consider rebooking

The room is spacious. However, the beds are like cots. Not too be too graphic but the walls are thin and the beds shifts and are noisy; therefore we heard everything in the rooms above and next to us. Housekeeping is an extra fee, towels are not replaced daily, room doesn’t have iron, blow dryer or toiletries. And people are renting the rooms as their primary place of residence.
