I recently stayed at this hotel for five nights, and unfortunately, the experience was not as expected. When I initially booked, I chose the hotel because of its medium budget and convenient location near the sea, according to Google Maps. However, just before my arrival, I received a message from the reception with a different address than the one listed on Google Maps.
Upon arriving in Izmir, I headed to the new address they provided, but there was no hotel at that location. I tried contacting the hotel, but they didn’t respond right away, so I went to the original location shown on Google Maps—again, no luck finding the place. After wasting time and paying twice for Uber rides, I finally got a response from them via WhatsApp with the correct location. By this point, I had already spent around $37 on Uber rides due to the confusion.
When I arrived at the hotel, they tried to explain the situation, but I wasn’t convinced. However, I decided not to escalate things because I didn’t want to ruin my vacation, and the staff couldn’t speak English fluently, making communication difficult.
The room itself was very small, and while the hotel claimed to offer daily housekeeping, they only cleaned our room twice during our five-night stay. I also had to repeatedly go to the reception to ask for basic amenities like water, tea, and toilet paper.
