4 nights in Palermo - told as it was
My review has to deal separately with the apartment and the admin. The apartment is very good. Spacious lounge and main bedroom with en-suite. A second bedroom on the mezzanine floor with en-suite. Plus an extra toilet downstairs and a well equipped galley kitchen plus utility area. Apartment is on the second floor but high ceilings mean the walk up is equivalent to a fourth floor apartment (51 steps). Ok not normally an issue but the lift did not work from day 2 onwards. Coffee machine in kitchen with no coffee at check in - promised for next day but never arrived. On day 3 the hob would not work - so no coffee machine, no working kettle on the hob so microwave water for coffee. Even sent a video of us trying to get hob to work!! Pre check in admin a complete shambles as my efforts for 3 weeks before arrival were a complete waste of time. Only got a very limited response after deadline to cancel had passed. Not happy at having to then pay a late arrival fee for being 30 mins after they capped check in at 8pm. Also made to sign another contract that evening so we could stay - absolute nonsense as my contract is with Hotels.com - not Wonderful Italy, or Travel Staytion or Expedia so all popped up at various times but did nothing to help. As I said the apartment is very good and well located being only 400 yards from Central Station but nightmare stuff with so called admin and support.
