Budget hotel in a historic property
The staff was great and it was clean and comfortable. They also make it easy to leave bags at the hotel on check-out day to pick up later. The breakfast was good (typical for Hampton Inns) but the area is small which made it hard on the very busy weekend we experienced. Worse was the fact that the elevators are slow and small -- problematic for a 21 story hotel. The property could definitely use a facelift, too. So considering all the options in downtown Chicago, I would have preferred to pay a little more for a nicer place. Again, the staff is great but know what you're getting.

Awesome to have stayed in a beautiful historic building, security system in place was awesome, staff was amazingly friendly and kind, informative and helpful. Your breakfast was fantastic!! The only hump of this trip was the valet. We were told to call down when we wanted our vehicle so there was time to retreive it but when we did we were told to just come down and tell them and it was very iffy that someone was at their post. So waiting around was a must. Other than that the hotel was great, easy access to surroundings and great continental breakfast.
