Great location

This hotel is in a great location. Easy walk from bus station (for Flybus) and just a few blocks down to downtown. It’s fairly well kept for an old building. However, the rooms are small and bathrooms even smaller. The smell of mold is eminent. There is no elevator so if you are on top floor with a heavy suitcase it might be a problem. Breakfast has ok selection but the coffee from the machine was undrinkable.

Find a different hotel if you’re going on a cruise

Surprised we put on the third floor without an elevator being available. The front desk had to leave to help us with our heavy luggage.The bathroom was probably the worst design I’ve ever seen a shower curtain and the water ran on the floor other than the fact that it was also very small. I’ve never seen this in a hotel specially, it’s such a high price. additionally, they have an extra charge if you arrive early and want to check into the room if it’s ready.

Nice hotel, great location, annoying shaped room

Very nice hotel with great location. Only thing that was awkward was the shape of the floor 4 rooms, with it being in the roof and all it was slanted and made getting around the room difficult. Beyond that free coffee and by all the sights and cafes you need.

Perfect downtown place for a visit

This is located in the perfect spot for your Reykjavik stay, right downtown across from the big church. The service was top notch. Everyone was helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was great! They had a large and healthy selection for breakfast items that don’t need to be cooked while you wait. Our room was very small, but it was clean and cute. The beds weren’t amazing, but for less than a week they were perfectly fine. The bathroom was spacious and clean.

Perfect for first night in Iceland !!

Our room was tiny, but had everything we needed, and overlooked the majestic cathedral. We could watch the people come and go from our big windows, and hear the church bells ring every 15 minutes. This did not affect our sleep, everything was nice and quiet at the hotel. We had a great experience at hotel Leifur Erickson and I highly recommend it. It’s in a great location and parking is easy, across the street near the cathedral. Dining options are also easy to get to from the hotel, and it’s at the top of a very good shopping street.

We really struck lucky!

Fantastic hotel, so well positioned in the city. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and welcoming hotel. Particularly liked the complimentary hot chocolate (and teas & coffees) in the lobby!

Centralt beliggende hotel

Centralt beliggende hotel med facade lige ud til Reykjaviks vartegn, Hallgrimskirken, og indre byen med regnbuefarve, hyggelige caféer og kønneste huse i Reykjavik. Placeringen (særlig kirkepladsen) giver lidt støj de lange lyse nætter. Værelset er lille, der var bøvl med brusen på værelset. Venlige medarbejdere. Lidt for dyrt ifht kvalitet. Men et godt sted for et hurtigt ophold i Reykjavik.

Small Room but Great Front Desk Staff

The economy room was very small with a slanted ceiling so there was little room to stand up. Very small bathroom. HOWEVER, it had a gorgeous view of the church and the front desk staff were SUPER helpful with restaurant recommendations and airport transfers.
