I arrived late in the evening and the hotel was empty. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the bellman who offered valet for 70 a night. I chose to park in the public parking garage which is a very short walk down the same block from the hotel. The two front desk night person and night valet had trouble simply giving me my room key and letting me grab my own bags at the speed I wanted. The front desk person thought it was a good idea to have the bellman "take me up to my room", instead of simplying saying, up the elevator 4th floor, go right. That was really offputting and weird, normally they give me my key and tell me where my room is. Instead the front desk gave my key to the bellman even though the bellman was not helping me with luggage. Unthoughtful and inept--do not waste a guests time especially late at night-traveling all day. I was graciously upgraded to a room with a soaking bathtub, one of my VIP member perks. The Room itself (1 bedroom condo) was INCREDIBLY comfortable, clean, new and luxurious. The Bed was so comfy, it was like a dream. No doubt top quality mattress and pillows. I'd give the property a near perfect score in the furnishings and comfort. Beautiful rooftop pool and hot tub also. In the morning, the manager Filipe took care of all of my needs, including allowing me to trade my "Welcome Alcohol Shot" voucher for a healthy juice drink instead, and a late checkout. Philipe certainly stood out to me as an employee who understands the way hospitality works.
