Great place with great convenience
For the price it was really good. Very convenient location you can get to the strip in seconds instead of having to walk to drive and pay for parking. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The price and location was great. Very friendly staff. Very outdated and the walls are so thin it feels like you do not even have them. A lot if people up late drinking make enormous amounts of noise. Did not seem like there was any security to stop it. Great for a one night stay with the bos not for families.

Lousy experience!
The room i had was extremely dirty. I did not even want to remove my shoes and by the looks of it the previous guests did not either! The carpets were deeply stained! Not a place to stay if you want a good nights rest as there is a karaoke bar at the corner that is very loud and noisy up until 2am.

Any other hotel gave my deposit back the same day. I checked out yesterday and the girl at the desk said my deposit would be back in my account within a couple hours, around 6pm I called she then said it would be in by night time. I checked today in the morning and nothing was in there once again so I called and now the guy at the desk was saying it’s not coming in for 3-5 business days…. Probably won’t be staying there again.

They assigned me a room at the upper street with the red Travelogue sign, second floor. The room hot like hell with a very tiny non-centralize air conditioner. I went in beginning of June, outside temp is around 32-34 degree. The room started heating up from 4pm. The heat didn’t go away till midnight 3-4pm.
Another problem is they have a bar next to the hotel and they have Karaoke till 2:00pm every night. As you can expect, weekend is worse. They did warn you about the issue and you have to sign on the form to sign the situation is fine with you before you can registered.

The manager was extremely unfriendly when we were trying to come to some sort of consensus about the security deposit as they only take credit card and none of the people in my group was able to provide a credit card. We ended up finding one to use but the manager was extremely rude and seemed to not want to work with us. We cane from Alberta and her solution was to just cancel our rooms. Like we came halfway across the country for your solution to help us out was to cancel??? Ridiculous. The rooms were also disgusting. The carpet in our one room had a stain. The carpet also was bunched up as a tripping hazard in the middle of the room. One of my friends tried showering and the shower filled the bathtub so he was standing in ankle deep water while showering. The location was really the only good thing about this place.

First of all the staff is friendly so I’ll give them that and the beds are super comfortable. However, when we got into the room it stunk it was very musty and there was just a bad smell. Then we come to find out that the outlets are on the ceiling and if you want to use the only available ones in a normal area you have to unplug the clock and lamps. The WiFi absolutely does not work. The heat did not work we didn’t find that out until the morning of leaving when we woke up freezing (the air was not on) and wanted to put the heat on but since we were leaving in a couple hours we didn't bother. And speaking of warmth you only get one thin sheet and a throw blanket to cover up with no comforter or bedspread. I’m really disappointed as I frequented the TravelLodge (their sister hotel) next door and loved it so I expected this one to be on the same standards. Also, this doesn’t bother us at all because it’s really fun but it might bother other people, there’s karaoke in the parking lot until 2am.

This motel is for you or not for you. IF you enjoy the family court style where you say hi to the people next door sitting on the shared balcony than this place is for you. What i really enjoyed though was the karoke going on at the bar on site- as it was really fun to watch and listen to them. Again this may not be for you as it is very loud and goes to 2am but i loved it and several of us were singing and dancing in the shared balcony space. This motel also had a great pizza dining option on site with large tables for families. I also liked that the pool had some grass around it and was off to the back. My family of teens and a 6 year old had a blast.
The location cant be beat. THere is no reason once you park your car to take it out again. A nice lady greeted us as we pulled in to help us park- $15 a night-saw plenty of security around so always felt safe.
I would recommend rooms 523-526 for the views of the karaoke bar because each night from 9 to 2- they were our entertainment. There are no elevators so if any mobility issues request bottom floor. Also no fridge or microwave, but rooms were very clean, a good size and beds very comfy, A/C worked well, TV with lots of channels. This spot is perfect for families that are ok with loud music till 2- and anyone who likes to have an old fashioned good Canadian time! Thank you Thriftlodge for a great family weekend. The memories are priceless.
