Pros: Lovely staff, low key laid back (non-intrusive) beach club vibe, good restaurant, great views and good sheltered pool at back. No sight of the curio market and the massed sun beds on the beach in front but slightly to the left of the hotel.
Cons: A rock hard mattress (which, when we checked out, they said they would have changed if we'd asked).
Room is large but has the colour, charm and minimalist feel of a concrete bunker. No hot water came through the shower, which had to be fixed.
Immediately, behind the room (Room 18) - about 3 metres away - there's a fence, the other side of which is an industrial-size washing machine which thunders into action twice before 7.45 a.m. and continues afterwards.
