Delayed but not forgotten
Staff were great and attentive to our needs. We arrived a few minutes early, was checked in but, could not to our room because of a problem that was repaired. The staff made sure we understood what was happening in real time. It was suggested we have a drink in the restaurant which is very nice, located on the 5th floor with a view of the ocean. In a very short while our room key was brought to us and luggage was already delivered to our room. The hotel is very clean and staff very helpful and supportive.

Fancy hotel
Very fancy place and good location. The restaurant was excellent and the food and prices were great. The only downside was that the windows didn’t seal good and it was raining when we got there. Had some water come in through the window and ran on the floor. Later the wind picked up and you could hear the howling sound coming from the windows. Other than that the staff and hotel was great.

Incredible Stay at the Golden Bay
The Golden Bay was FABULOUS! The employees were always friendly and helpful. The Golden Bay is also in a great location to get to various attractions. The restaurant was also a great place to dine.

Anel at the front desk was wonderful. She came up to the room herself and helped fix the TV and air conditioning. Called for us a taxi and got us fresh towels and coffee. Hotel was undergoing construction that was the only complaint

Nice sea view from the room and from the restaurant upstairs. Hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. It was noisy during the day because there is construction to build an adjacent building. Also loud noise from closing of the doors because the floors are all hard surfaces. Good location at the bay , just 10 to 15 minutes walk from the ferry dock.

Perfect for two nights in the city
Just lovely, and the on-site market was unexpected plus. The construction project blocked our view, which was the only disappointment but not a big deal as we were in and out. Biggest plus was the wonderful staff. Also Vino Tinto!

Great Hotel in city
I enjoy staying at Golden Bay whenever I am in Belize City. The hotel is undergoing some construction work making it bigger and will soon have a pool for guests to enjoy. Normally a complimentary breakfast is included which was not included in this trip but nonetheless I still ended up purchasing a very nice Belizean breakfast from the restaurant upstairs. Will be staying again when I return in the spring. Thanks

Last minute booking...
Booked Golden Bay hotel at the last minute. Very impressed with the hotel layout and location. Had an awesome view of the NYE fireworks, conveniently located within walking rang of downtown Belize City, onsite shopping for souvenirs, and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend!!!

Clean and friendly, questionable decor
The hotel has some building works which did not disturb us (we were out all day) but we did not have a view as this was blocked. We were given free breakfast as compensation. The room and bathroom were enormous, though the decor, while clean and tidy, was a bit reminiscent of a motel. Front desk staff extremely helpful. Restaurant was very slow in delivering food. Food was OK, neither bad nor good. Location was good for the municipal airport.
