Nice location

Nice apartment and excellent view and location very close to CN tower. Rooftop pool! Nice amenities. Reasonable parking fee $25/night. Some points to improve. Bathroom doors need fixing. Inside door lock needs to be adjusted and although the room was fairly clean, the apartment could use a fresh coat of paint and windows to be cleaned . Overall great stay. Would return.

Not as advertised, avoid.

Beware, you might not get the room you think you are booking. We booked next to the CN tower and found out on arrival we were half a mile away in a different area of the city. Also, we didn't get the balcony we booked. Globalstay were awful, slow to reply and just stating "that's what we booked" until provided with proof, then they said what we booked was "just an example" and they have lots of apartments. Also had to get our key from a key box down a back alley which was strange. Dodgy company, I'd steer well clear. Hotels.com didn't do much to sort the situation out, although we did end up getting £72 back as compensation, so somebody knows this isn't right...

Worst experience of my life

Worst experience of my life. They moved us to another property when I got there which was a complete inconvenience. I had to contact the property management and they did not sound sympathetic. They did nothing to accommodate me. Offer me anything. I had to walk 15 mins to another property and already paid for parking. I would never use global sta** again and will recommend everyone I know not to stay there on Instagram, Facebook and word of mouth. Terrible company

I choose this room based on specific location in Toronto and how it looked (specially nice & open view). But when i was sent the check in details it was for a different property, location in Toronto and instead I got a view directly into an office building. I reached out to GlobalStay and they were unhelpful and told me to contact Hotels.com. Instead of assisting and trying to resolve the matter helping they just told me to contact Hotels.com and put the phone down. The service I got from GlobalStay was terrible, and totally unacceptable! And the total lack of interest in solving the issue was unprofessional. I will not be staying with GlobalStay again, and I cant not believe Hotels.com can accept that customers choose a room based on location and look/feel, but get given something totally else.

The appartment was broadly fine, but it was dusty and there was broken glass on the balcony. My issue is the service from the offshore call centre. Their English is terrible, the deposit system is amateur asking for deposits through Paypal which feels like a fraud and I am still chasing for our security deposit back only to be met with rude responses. There are better places to stay

Not worth the effort

We paid for parking, arrived and someone was in the spot. We had the worst time communicating with the host. After about 25 minutes of sitting in the parking lot trying to figure out if we were on hold or if they hung up on us they messaged us on WhatsApp to tell us they refunded our parking money and and can look for a spot to park with a link- just sorry about your luck, figure it out! Then there was a QR code to connect to the internet which didn’t work and of course it was a challenge to get a response from the “24/7 support”. The location is great, the condo is older and in “meh” condition. It was clean and we chose this as an option because we wanted more space. But honestly, I wouldn’t book again, a hotel would be so much easier. This was a pain through and through.

We checked in for 5 nights, only complaint is 1.5 rolls of toilet paper was left for us and that was not enough. We left the rest of our pack for the next guests, hopefully they don’t run out! The view was AMAZING!

Great Place, Amazing Views

For starters the unit was beautiful and offered million dollar views. Problem is you need to deal with getting up/down to the 40th floor. The elevator was a bit of a pain in the ass. Not sure I considered the downfalls of living on the 40th floor. There was a few issues in the condo during my stay and the management company was notified. The owner showed up the next day and was able to address 2 out of the 3. The living area AC was not working and he had to get a repairman out the day I checked out. Hey, things happen.

This was a fantastic appartment for view and location. The company was also very clear with their communication and prompt. I will say that the appartment could have been a lot cleaner; when we got there there was hair in the showers, the coffee machine was not emptied, the rug was visibly dirty, the windows were filthy. There were also some broken things: one of the doors had only one hinge, some lightbulbs were out, the lamp in the lounge was broken. These were not deal breakers for us, but things to note for the company. For the price and location, I would still recommend this apartment and stay here again myself. The view was worth it!

Unexpected protocols, fine print and rules I had no idea of at original time of booking. This is NOT a hotel. It was new to me to have submit a security deposit (through paypal) ahead of time and Globalstay holds this for a week. Hopefully I get it back -we shall see. You also have to submit ID and a selfie ahead of time online; and prebook your check in time. There is only security at the lobby. There are strict noise /party protocols; and it appears inflexible/inconvenient if you want to have guests/visitors/changes to your party as it seems you need to email and or pre-register any changes. Strict check out policies on how to leave the apartment. The whole process made me extremely nervous to even use anything in the apartment; cleanliness was just ok; there was food left on cooking utensils, hair on the table and bedding. AC was on permanently and very loud but did not cool the apartment it was 28 to start and only got down to 23.5 after 3 days of being on max cool. Pros- spacious apartment, the oven and fridge toaster etc worked well; bathrooms and overall cleanliness minus above comments was ok. despite my unfamiliarity with protocols globalstay returned emails in line with their instructions and it was overall a smooth trip. If you are unfamiliar with key fab access to elevators, doors etc this can take some getting used to, but everything seemed to work ok other than the AC. Unsure if I would stay again.

The location is so great! Easily walkable to Rogers Center, the metro convention center, Ripleys aquarium and all the downtown tourist attractions. The front desk security staff were very friendly and helpful. Early check in and late check out weren’t options and not having a storage space for luggage was unfortunate. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!
