"Comfort Suites Manheim – Lancaster, PA
Our stay was a mix of good and disappointing. The room itself was great — spacious, clean, and comfortable — and most of the staff were friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, many things outside the room fell short.
The EV chargers were unreliable and frustrating to use, which was especially disappointing for a hotel advertising EV-friendly amenities. Breakfast was another low point: the space was cramped, seating was limited, and even though the hotel was “fully booked,” the larger dining area stayed closed. Midway through breakfast, most of the food and drinks had already run out — juice, muffins, hot items — and no decaf coffee was available. selection was more limited than at similar properties. It felt poorly managed and understocked.
The elevator was painfully slow, not from overuse but just mechanically sluggish, which is odd for a newer unit and only being a three-story building. the only room complaint would be The TV remote barely worked, and with no built-in controls on the TV, even basic adjustments became frustrating.
On the bright side, Uber Eats deliveries went smoothly, and drivers were able to bring food right to our room both nights, which was convenient.
Overall, while the room and staff were great, the poor breakfast experience, slow elevator, unreliable chargers, and small amenity issues made the stay underwhelming — definitely below what we’ve come to expect from Comfort Suites."
