"Excellent place to stay in Taormina.. it was very modern like Miami Vice. It was across the street about 100ft away from the main building. I only wished we would have stayed in the old hotel which looked much cooler.. we parked up the street for €25 a day saved us €20 a day..
don’t forget to stop at the coop, which is the grocery store. Will also save you a ton of money..
next door is a laundromat, which was perfect. Just watch out and ask for the price first before doing your laundry..
The balcony was also really nice"
"The property is very well located and we enjoyed a beautifully updated room overlooking Isola Bella. It would be more convenient to have more shuttle times to go up to Taormina’s main area. Very happy with this beautiful hotel! "
"Air conditioning was very dated and seemed pretty weak- and it wasn’t that hot when we stayed there in early October. Also TVs were small for room size and the streaming services didn’t really work effectively because of limitations of the WiFi system. Loved the high ceilings and grand old hotel style furniture, furnishings and feel"
"Property was wonderful - was hoping for a heated pool, but no, so no swimming. Staff and our room were great. The only thing that could use some attention are the bathrooms/showers in the lobby and there wasn’t a secure room to store luggage after checkout. "
"We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August into the beginning of September. The location of the hotel is perfect and during our time in Palermo, we kept saying that we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in the city.
Both Via Roma and Via Maqueda are right by the hotel and offer tons of shopping, dining, and sight-seeing options. We tended to prefer Via Maqueda, but both will take you to the central station within a 25-30 minute walk. The hotel is also within a short walking distance of bus stops that can take you all around the city. Also, right by the hotel is probably the best sandwich shop in all of Palermo (A’ Putìa), which we definitely considered to be a major perk of its location.
The hotel's rooftop bar offers a cool view of the city, but the view from our room's balcony was perhaps even better! The hotel staff were lovely and even let us check out an hour later than the hotel's official time for free. If you are planning a stay in Palermo, we couldn't recommend this hotel enough!"
