Not a real resort , embarrassing

Really unfortunate to see this resort go so downhill.I feel bad for the staff as they are doing their best . The new owners have completely let this place go. There was cups ( garbage) on the grounds just outside our room for days . Nobody cares about the resort seems like. Most staff will tell customers that they have chopped 50% of their staff. As a business owner it’s so sad to see . There is so mush potential. The pool was not maintained anymore and was gross .sad , sad , sad

Title: A Relaxing Stay at the Hotspring Hotel Rating: ★★★★☆ I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Hotspring Hotel, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The natural hot springs were absolutely rejuvenating, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure all our needs were met. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The ambiance was tranquil, which added to the overall relaxation of our stay. I particularly enjoyed the on-site spa services, which complemented the hot springs beautifully. However, I was disappointed to find that there was no microwave in the room. This made it a bit inconvenient for reheating leftovers or preparing snacks, especially since the dining options were somewhat limited. It would have been a great addition to enhance the comfort of our stay. Despite this minor setback, I would still highly recommend fairmont for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. With its serene environment and excellent amenities, it's a perfect getaway destination!

Weekend Getaway

It was nice that we were able to check in early and the British lady at the barista coffee shop was fantastic. I give her service 5 stars. They don’t provide slippers in the rooms so you have to bring sandals which we didn’t know so we had to trudge to the big pools in our boots and leave them in lockers in the change rooms. We ended up just using the small guest pool attached to the hotel because it was more convenient. The rooms were okay however, the whole place is showing its wear and tear. We had dinner at the Antlers Lodge and although the food was delicious, the service was terrible. For what you pay, I would have expected better service However, the breakfast in the same restaurant was excellent and our server was great. All in all we prefer the service and pristine views that Ainsworth offers. Their pools are well maintained, the service is impeccable and the rooms are in better condition.

The property and the staff were very accommodating, especially the front desk. It was sad to see worn carpets throughout the common areas and lack of fresh paint. The railing into the guest pool was loose and a hazard for getting in and out of the pool. The guest room was lacking a fresh vacuum and wipe down on the credenza. The food quality was lacking especially receiving a burnt salmon in what was expected to be a first class dining room. I know that we will return for another visit in the future and hope to see some improvements by then.

Fairmont resort rooms dirty and run down

We didn't get the room we booked because we booked third party. We had to give up our kitchen that we paid for to be in main Lodge because it was pet free. Our room had Doritos in the drawers and crumbs everywhere. Had to clean it. Called the front desk and they didn't do anything. The food at the pub was amazing both times we ate there though. Only good part of the resort. The pools are all run down and the whole place needs to be updated, especially for the price.

Not happy with the room we got. It’s separate from the hotel building and you have to go around to the public pool, ended up shivering. With the weather -16, bundle up if you want to go to the sauna, restaurant, indoor pool, etc. The kitchen is not nice too. Been here several times already but this one is 👎. Thanks to the staff though who provided us a thick robe!

The room was fine, the pool is fine but the dining is bad, and there really aren’t any other choices. The first night in the pub the food was inedible, cold proteins, greasy fish and chips… just yuck! The server on the first night didn’t care about us at all. On the 2nd night we picked very simple (read frozen) foods that they couldn’t mess up. The server on our 2nd night was better. All the crappy food does come with a fine dining price tag though. Please note that this resort is not a member of the Fairmont chain. There are better options available than this property.

We were disappointed on our yearly trip to this hot spring this time. Location and hot springs are amazing but it needs renovation now, very dated. Beds are terrible and even kids woke up with soar backs. We couldn’t find even a USB charger in the room,
