Great stay in a villa

Loved staying here. The Villa, the outdoor areas at the hotel, the restaurants... everything was very nice. We loved that the Villa had rinse tanks for scuba gear. Only complaint: why put a tiny 0,7 liter electric kettle in a house, that is meant for 8 people?

Top locatie

We hebben 8 dagen het penthouse land/ocean view voor 6 personen geboekt. Het penthouse beschikte over een groot dakterras, 3 sllapkamers en 3 badkamers, volledige keuken incl. Quooker, combi oven/magnetron, vaatwasser enz. De living was eveneens groot. Het complex was ruim opgezet waardoor het rustig overkwam. De tuin was mooi aangelegd. De locatie lag eveneens aan zee met diverse restaurants.

Delfins blijft vernieuwen

Delfins heeft de afgelopen jaren flink geïnvesteerd in kwaliteit van de accomodatie, service en beleving. De recente samenwerking met Hilton lijkt hier ook aan bij te dragen. Er is geen geluidsoverlast meer van de aangrenzende kamers, er is tegenwoordig allerlei entertainment op het strand, en het ontbijt bij Kolo is meer dan prima, terwijl de optie om te ontbijten bij Brass Boer is gebleven. En nu de Hilton status ook geldig is bij Delfins is dat voor mij zeker interessant. Wat mij betreft is Delfins daarmee nog steeds een van de beste resorts op Bonaire. Het enige dat ik echt zou waarderen is een Adult-only zone. Er zijn tegenwoordig zoveel zwembaden en strandtenten dat dat zou moeten lukken.

Has potential but could be better!

A few of the staff members had nasty attitudes, especially a lady at the front desk and a waiter in the breakfast area. The distance from our room to the front desk is a long walk. The room was ok, I didn’t like that there was no full body mirror (only mirror was the one over sink). Also the outlets were European and we had to ask for adapters. Overall the resort and has lots of potential but could use a few upgrades.

Great value but a few quirks

Great value. Amazing, spacious villa but air conditioning was baffling and needed lots of maintenance. Rooms were aleays too hot or too cold. The gym is fantastic. Very nice pools. No housekeeping to speak of in our vila. Beach is typical Bonaire — lots of rocks and coral.

The biggest like about Delfins is its grounds. Big thanks to people who designed it, and keep maintaining. The swimming pool is also great, we swam lapses there every morning. The Brass Boer restaurant is pricey but very well worth it, we enjoyed it very much. Rooms are good, with a small kitchenette allowing to cook our favorite meals. A few small things indicate lack of good maintenance (or poor materials) for a hotel of this class. Like loose shower post in the room, not working USB charging ports, but of rust at the balcony, some non-working pathway lights at night, shower buttons missing. I hope Hilton will pay attention to these details. We asked in email for a room facing North, but ended up in a South facing room, and at check-in they asked for my email (I expected it to be in the computer already, along with my ask). Anyway, the reception desk seemed to be more professional back in 2019. But, we’ll definitely try staying at Delfins again.

A nice property which received a lot of positive reviews from the people I spoke with. The resort has vehicles to rent which is a plus. Airport shuttle available. There were always chairs at the beach or pool available. Breakfast was ok. We had a sea view room which had an odd bathroom configuration. The shower was very open which meant you have to mop up the floor each time it is used. If you have the ground floor sea view room it is blocked when you are sitting by the shrubs.

Infraestrutura maravilhosa!

A infraestrutura do hotel é maravilhosa, espreguiçadeiras, localização na praia, mar azul lindo perfeito para banho bem em frente. Porém o quarto é bem ruim, não tinha edredon e era bem simples, não condiz com a estrutura do hotel. Tinha cheiro de quarto fechado, mofo. Mas vale para curtir o dia na praia e curtir a estrutura do hotel.

We enjoyed the easy access to the water for swimming and an easy dive from the pier right from the restaurant area. The room was clean and all staff was friendly. I enjoyed having a variety of dishes to use with the kitchen area. The space of the 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for 2, but I would say that the bathroom door and bedroom door can be a bit tricky to navigate when both are open and wish that had a different setup. The property felt safe and we enjoyed walks around the property.

Beautiful grounds and rooms. Note AC is only available in the bedrooms, so if you rent a villa the kitchen and sitting areas ARE HOT! The ceiling fans don’t really do much. Thankfully the staff provided a standup fan which helped greatly. Misquotes are abundant from November-March.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days on our honeymoon. We can’t say enough good about this resort. From the amazing food to the picturesque setting we were not disappointed. The staff were so friendly and efficient. We snorkeled right off the beach and saw so many fish! The rooms were clean and a great size. Everything you need can be organized through the resort. You do need a car to tour the island but we stayed here for the last 4 days and had plenty to do. Would absolutely come back!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, very little dining options, there is 1 restaurant that is nearly always booked full, we were not able to try it. Hire a car to go around and eat in the many restaurants around. There are good dining/snack options for dinner on the 2 beach bars on the resort. Special thanks to Marc on the 'senior' swimming pool for making our stay very good with his cocktails.
