This was a lovely small hotel/b&b. We had a warm greeting. The room was spacious and had what we needed. The breakfast terrace was lovely. The buffet was nice and I liked that I could help myself to coffee. My only negative wasn’t really the hotel’s fault - Expedia flagged it as including free parking which was a big factor in choosing it. Unfortunately the free parking was on the street and not belonging to hotel. We did find some fairly nearby on arrival and right outside the hotel by the evening. So it wasn’t really a problem just misleading of Expedia’s site. Very happy to recommend this as a good choice for exploring Catania.

Our stay at Sciara Larmisi was just right. We arrived for one night at the beginning of our trip and stayed again 2 weeks later before flying out. The location is awesome- right near a bus stop, very walkable to the main piazza as well as awesome restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is really beautiful- very clean and welcoming rooms, the staff are amazing, available, and very accommodating. We loved our breakfast on the terrace overlooking Piazza Cutelli. Additionally, we were 2 women travelling alone and felt very safe and at home in this beautiful hotel. We absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting the amazing city of Catania.

We stayed for one night before our flight home. The location is very convienient for getting to the airport. Emanuele was a great host and the communication was excellent. Sadly we were unable stay for the breakfast as we had an early flight. However, the breakfast options seemed abundant. We appreciated the water and pop in the small fridge in our room. Emmanuel was very helpful -especially when I arrived late for check-in. The square was pretty but a bit intimidating at night! It wasn’t far from the main square in Catania, which I enjoyed. Breakfast was not amazing and really needed freshly boiled water for tea, better milk and a wider array of international foods. Overall, a good stay.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Sciara Larmisi and would 100% recommend! The host was fantastic, excellent communication prior to arrival with clear details on how to check in out of hours, breakfast was lovely and if the weather allows, absolutely make sure you enjoy it on the rooftop terrace! The B&B is spotlessly clean and staff and room was very comfortable. Location is excellent too, within 1 minute walk to bus stops for the airport shuttle and main square and via Etnea are only a short walk away too.

Emanuele è stato molto cortese e preciso nelle indicazioni, rendendo il check-in autonomo semplice e perfetto. La struttura si trova in una posizione comodissima, a pochi minuti a piedi da Piazza Duomo e Via Etnea. Parcheggio convenzionato a circa 3 minuti di distanza, molto comodo. La camera era spaziosa, pulita e ben curata, con bevande gratuite nel frigobar. L’unico piccolo neo, per gusto personale, è stato il materasso un po’ troppo morbido. Colazione buona, fatta sulla terrazza con vista su piazza Cutelli Nel complesso, una struttura che consiglio vivamente. Se dovessi tornare a Catania, sceglierei sicuramente di nuovo questo alloggio!

This is definitely more of an apartment rental than a hotel rental. The space is laid out well with plenty of the space, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. However, the AC doesn’t work. The AC was turned on, but it was still 80 degrees in the room, which made it impossible to sleep. Since it’s an apartment rental instead of a true hotel, when I gave up on attempting to sleep due to the heat at 4am, there was no front desk where I could ask to change rooms. I’m sure great in the winter, but do not recommend in the summer.
