Great stay at Izla Beach

We really enjoyed the hotel, we had a nice size room with a spacious bathroom. It’s a newer hotel and it shows. It smelled clean when we walked in. The AC was cold too, just how we like it. The beds were a little firm but not too bad. This Hotel is a little farther away from the busier North end. The food definitely needs some improvement because of that we ate out most of the time. The staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The pool was nice too, but the beach area was not the best for swimming. All in all, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We enjoyed our stay here very much however there were definitely a few things we weren't fond of. Check in was easy enough, I had upgraded our room to a ocean view deluxe room and based on several sites we should have had a mini bar in the room but we didn't. When I brought it up to the front desk they said that only ocean front rooms get them but assured me they would bring one to the room that day or the next, they never did. The phone in our room didn't work, they didn't fix that either. We had the all-inclusive package but it didn't apply to a lot of the drinks and food items which was annoying, all inclusive should be all inclusive. The restaurant that was included as well was only open 1 of the nights we were there so we had to eat at the cafe the other 3 nights and that menu gets a but tiring as it doesn't change at all. The bar and wait staff were great, very friendly and attentive. The room was big, clean and well laid out however the ocean view was really more of a partial ocean view and you had to actually be out on the balcony to get the ocean view, you couldn't see it from anywhere in the room which was disappointing and felt misleading. The hotel itself was quiet, definitely wasn't full & the pools were clean and comfortable. The beach was small but pretty & well maintained. The last day we were to be picked up at 12:30 and they cut off our all inclusive at 12 dispite saying we could still use it for the last 30 minutes resulting in an extra $$... annoying.

What made me review this all inclusive property as a poor was the staff when dining. For me, Mexico typically has some of the best customer service at all inclusive resorts. But not at this resort, at this resort the staff always seemed rushed or like you were hassling them when asking for something else. I didn’t appreciate that. You shouldn’t feel like it’s a problem to ask for a couple bottles of water. I didn’t feel like I was staying at a quality all-inclusive resort

We love Izla Hotel, but this visit we had to ask several times for towels and washcloths. Reservation was for 4 people and was only stocked with two towels and when cleaned was only replenished with two towels and no washcloths. Would like the restaurant and pool menu to have few more options. Staff was friendly but didn’t go out of their way to provide extra assistance. Having said that we would stay at this hotel again.

All inclusive is not all inclusive, Ants in room and on bed, Service at dinner time is pretty bad, 45 minutes no service even when asking for service. ALL rooms are ocean view except the bottom floor, Sky lounge was nice but the drink bar was only open 1 day out of 5 we were there. Definitely bring your own soaps and shampoos
