We had a flight delay. I called ahead to inform the hotel and establish a late check in. However, when I arrived, the young girl at the front desk provided the worst hospitality I have ever experienced.
We walked in - a family of 4 with two small children who had been up entirely too long, and she was not welcoming, wouldn’t get off her phone, and then told me to “go sit down” while she figured out how to get us checked in. The room was prepaid. We just wanted to go to sleep.
There was no smile, no welcome, nothing.
When I asked about purchasing a late check out, she simply said, “No. Hospitality won’t allow me to do that.”
I love Hampton Inn. But I won’t stay at this one again.
