We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip. I paid extra for a park view and it was worth it. Checkin is very easy and the staff is helpful even though it is computerized. We left our luggage in the lobby twice and both times it was convenient and well taken care of. Everything is nearby, you will not need to walk far at all to get food or forgotten items or to the metro. Which means you can spend your time doing all the activities in the park! The rooms are small but we had everything we needed and enough space to be happy. The beds were comfortable.

Good: It is a few steps literally from the Keisei Sky Liner. Ueno Park and the Zoo is right by the hotel. The hotel is cheap and has the basic toiletries and stuff. Can be better: Ther rooms are small. The check out time is way earlier at 10:00 am compared to other hotels at 12:00 noon. There's only 1 towel and 1 hand towel provided each day.

Would not recommend this hotel. Of the four hotels I stayed in, in Japan, this one was the smallest and the worst. The hallway is actually open to the outside so it is dark, hot and humid. The room was not clean, spots on the wall, and the bathroom is extremely tiny.

This property was better than the APA we stayed at in Roppongi. Same size room (tiny), but didn't have that sewer gas smell. I did have to have the management come up and unclog the tub drain and install a new battery on the bidet. Fresh towels everyday, left on your door. There is a nice park just across the street, as well as a train station. The main Uano station is a two block walk.
