Incredible place

Extraordinary. Place was spotless, I mean spotless. Never stayed in a place so clean. The people were great and very helpful, the cottage was very cosy in a beautiful location by the water. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay and wished we had had time to extend our visit. The owners were friendly and helpful in every way. We enjoyed the pool and all the amenities that we needed. I would recommend The Anchorage to anyone who wants to be close to a beach, a pool, and lovely views of the harbour.

We stayed at this property numerous times before in different cottages. Cottage no. 3 was updated inside and nice and clean. Complaints screens on windows had holes that allowed small bugs in that created a gross mess around the sink area. The chairs on the deck were in rough shape and falling apart..could not use the arms as nails rotted out. Barbecue but had to ask for tank and utensils where if bbq incld think that should already be done. Checkout had to wait for someone to come back for 1/2 hour to checkout which seemed unacceptable when they wouldn't allow us a later check out time.

This is an OK place but just OK. It’s location is good if you need a spot in that area. But it is very tired and neither the bed were not comfortable. There was lots of hot water for the shower, but it sprayed only a light mist, which was tough to use efficiently.

Very nice spot. We had two bedroom cottage, we had been upgraded because there was a mistake on our reservation but we got a place to sleep so no worries. Marina right across the street and guests have access to the Anchorage dock, kayaks and rowboats. We couldn't indulge because it was raining but very nice extra. My only complaint is we wanted to leave at 8:30 am and the office was closed until 9 am. I wasn't sure if they needed to see me again or if we were paid up so I didn't want to leave and I didn't see a "key drop" so we hung around. It would be helpful if they told you want to expect when you check in. Great property, we enjoyed our stay.

This property is centrally located to all tourist highlights and beaches. Nice to go out to see the sights and return for pool and relax time. Cabins well appointed, nice pool, kayaks a fun touch for the kids. Close to grocery store and coffee house in walking distance. Great staff, so relaxed and friendly. Can’t ask for a better place. A gem!
