Great family stay

Had a really nice stay with our family during spring break. Our room felt spacious enough for the 6 of us, not spending tons of time in the room. My kids enjoyed the waterside and all the different hot springs. Breakfast buffet had delicious fruit and juices and quite a few choices. Would definitely stay here again.

Los Lagos with family of four.

Every bit of our stay was amazing! Our room was plenty big for the four of us, beds were comfy, and AC worked perfectly. The property was so beautiful and so much to see and do. The pools, the slides and the breakfast were definitely the highlight. My kids didn’t want to do anything else but play on the slides. We were only there 3 nights and wished we were there longer! We’ll definitely be back.

Not as good as other hot spring hotels

This hotel is fine but despite the huge property size, the number and quality of hot springs pools is underwhelming, especially compared to nearby resorts such as Baldi and Tabacon. With this much space, Los Lagos should really create more hot springs pools, as the ones they have tend to be very crowded and there is only one bar/restaurant out by the pools. Similar or even smaller size resorts in the area have more. The staff were friendly and the food was pretty good! The grounds are pretty and ENORMOUS. But despite all the space, it seems like LL hasn’t invested enough into the entertainment and hot springs experience - which is the primary reason to stay at a big hotel in Arenal after all.

A perfect home-base in La Fortuna!

Our extended family (7 people, ages 3 to 80 years old) had an amazing stay. We enjoyed the pools (hot-springs) as a base for adventures around town. The rooms were spacious and the staff friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had something for everyone. The property is well maintained and allowed us to view nature right from our balcony-- birds (toucan!) as well as the coati. The waterslide was a hit with everyone -- as were the pools of different temps. The ONLY suggestion I can think to make would be to add more hooks to dry towels (in the very large bathroom) and on the balconies for suits, and other items.

Pools and service were freat!

The amenities and service at Los Lagos were amazing! The pools were great. We loved it during the day time but it was a party scene on a Saturday night. It was possible to find a little less rowdy spots though. The great breakfast and awesome pools more than made up for the less than spectacular room. Would definitely return nonetheless!

Tranquil retreat at the base of the La Arenal!

This is our go-to place in La Fortuna! We love the tranquil setting. The staff is exceptional. The restaurant is the best in the area. They have the best buffet breakfast! When we ate lunch/dinner in the restaurant, we always commented on how delicious it was. Every morning we saw a different variety of bird.The activities are designed so you don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want to. And the hot pools and spa are luxurious and amazing. I highly recommend you splurge and get the volcanic exfoliating massage.

Excellent once again!

This was my 5th time staying at this resort and I can't imagine a better hotel for the money. This trip I brought 10 other friends along and they all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The updated rooms are large and comfortable. The views spectacular. We ate at the main restaurant and bar multiple times and the food was always good for the money. The multiple hot spring pools are a perfect way to end an adventurous day in the rain forest.
