Great location, next to the Duomo. Gorgeous rooms and very nice hosts. Only downside is that you hear all the noises coming from the street at night. So, if you have a hard time sleeping with noise, this might not be a good option. Other than that, highly recommended!

The location is excellent, across a very small piazza from the steps of the Baptistery; essentially, it's behind the Duomo. Everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance. From the window of our room (#4) we could see Basilica San Domenico in the distance. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well (important as temperatures were in the 80s). My only complaint--a small one--is that the shower in our room was an odd glass box at the foot of the bed; perfectly functional, and I suppose it had to go somewhere in a room that was otherwise hundreds of years old. Not really a problem so much as a quirk. We loved our stay, and would stay at Il Battistero again.
