The place has beautiful gardens. We rented two rooms and stayed for one night — and how lucky we were that it was only for one night!
The rooms were dark and poorly ventilated, with a musty smell. In Room 16, where my husband and I stayed, the shower didn’t drain properly, so water immediately started pooling when we turned on the shower. Because of that, only my husband was able to shower that night. The beautiful swimming pool in the photos was so dirty with all kinds of bugs and leaves that we couldn’t use it. The property had a lovely garden, but overall, it seemed poorly maintained.
However, the biggest downside of this accommodation isn’t even these issues. If, like me, you ever need a detailed invoice and try to contact the property for it, you will never get what you need. The phone number listed on their website doesn’t work, and they never check their email. Even after Hotels.com sent several urgent messages on my behalf, there was no response. A woman named Alex — I’m not sure if she’s the manager or an employee — never answers calls. She doesn’t reply on WhatsApp or by text message either.
If you plan to stay here, make sure you get everything you need while you still have face-to-face contact with the staff. And if you consider dark, damp rooms with a musty smell part of the charm of a farm stay, then perhaps you won’t mind staying here!
