When I received the rooms, they asked me to pay a security deposit. I said it was okay and handed over my card. They took the amount. I wanted to pay for the rooms with my NZD-based card. They said it would be available later. I pointed out that I definitely did not want to pay with my credit card, but with my NZD-based debit card. They said it was okay. By the time I got to my room, my credit card was charged. My bank charged me an extra penalty for exceeding my credit limit. I don't understand!? If I have money on my debit card, I'm pointing this out, why can't this be taken into account???? The rooms were pretty much cleaned. The mattress on the bed was worn out, it was uncomfortable to sleep on. It was further from the airport than I thought based on the map... Of course, I'll stay for 1 night... But next time I'll definitely not choose it... We were safe throughout our trip to New Zealand. It was just in this area that I didn't feel safe.
