Great location across from the lake (although there are no lake views, that's fine). Proprietor was incredibly helpful, and suggested locations to eat, etc.

Convenient location for our day trip to Milford Sound, located within walking distance to the town centre. Parking available on-site, right outside your doorstep. Room was spacious and equipped with decent heating. The property itself is a little tired looking and could use some sheer curtains across the main windows to allow some light in while maintaining a level of privacy.

Nice stay for Milford Sound and Fiordland

Great spot, loved the sunny afternoon picnic table lanai! Walk along the lake from, and just away from the busy town intersection! We spent 2 nights and enjoyed the area and unbelievable Milford Sound drive/cruise. Got great tips for rainy time from Host best was the video on the Fiordland at the local cinema!

This lodge was in perfect location with beautiful mini botanic garden. Room is big and suite style with kitchen. Very clean with hot tub for relaxation after tired hikes. Table and bench out side each room to sit out looking at the lake.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by very friendly staff. The owner explained everything and gave excellent advice on tours etc. The room was very comfortable, clean, and we had everything we needed. For the 4 days we stayed here we felt like we were at home. And the location, the lake view, and the town, are just amazing. We will definitely be back.

Nice place for a 2 night stay while visiting Milford. Comfortable place. 5 min drive to restaurants and grocery. Morning walks around the lake and star gazing were lovely. No view of lake from the room. Room faces the road so not ideal for opening the curtains in the room.

We immediately were happy with our choosing this lodge to stay in after our great check in experience with Kim. She was personable and helpful with suggesting beautiful sunset view walks and other hikes. We stayed so we could drive into Milford sound the next day for hiking. Close to walk to grocery store and town center. Big room! We would recommend this to friends and family, we would also stay here again ourselves. Thank you Kim and team!

Teasing pictures do not show the real

Overall acceptable “motel” but probably not worth the value , it’s close to the lake but certainly not to the front. The “front” of the rooms offer fantastic views and sounds from a trafficking road instead. Rooms are pretty old fashioned and the bed was garnished with a brownie fake ( and dusty) fur. Welcoming was excellent though but certainly not sufficient to compensate.
