Excelente opción para descansar al lado del mar

El hotel es muy lindo y la comida es excelente. El buffet es muy completo, con comida para todos los gustos. Quesos, mariscos, etc. Los licores incluidos son de buena calidad, sin embargo si uno quiere tomar licores premium, también lo puede hacer por un pago adicional. Me gusto que estaba incluido el consumo del minibar y el servicio a la habitación.

First Visit

The employees are very nice, attentive and responsive. The food was delicious & had a lot of variation. The beach and swimming pool have very good maintenance, they could clean the algae from the beach more often. The entertainment and drinks were good. The little village and church were beautiful.

The staff were great. The property was very clean but a lack of pool chairs and umbrellas made it difficult to get any shade. Two of the restaurants had mediocre food (the Italian and the Don Pablo) . We couldn't cut through the chicken parmesan or the beef tenderloin. At the Don Pablo, they handed us a wine list making us believe there was no house wine available, so we spent $150 US unnecessarily. We spent over $100 US on mani/pedi's and the polish came off the same day from spending time in the pool. Agree with other reviews that the beds were very hard. The ocean was murky from a nearby river runoff and we were told that there were jellyfish in the water so almost no one in the ocean. Disco was so loud that the bartender couldn't hear your order and almost nowhere to sit. Most people we saw left after about 10 minutes. Also no where to sit and have a drink in the Casino. Just men at a couple of tables. I'm afraid we wouldn't return to this resort. Punta Cana has much higher quality resorts, things to do and nicer beach/ocean. We just wanted to try somewhere new but were disappointed here.

Overall our stay was nice, but average based on our other travel experiences. The beach was nice, with the exception of the actual water - which we did know going in ahead of time. The general buffet was much better than the ala carte/reservation only restaurants. The grounds were well maintained and the overall resort was pretty compact and easy to get around. The staff were very attentive. Water sports guys were not super friendly, but other entertainment staff were great.

Overall for our first resort experience I would rate the overall experience a 6. The checkin process could have been a little better. We knew we couldn’t checkin until 3 pm so we had lunch and waited until 3 pm. We further had to wait since our room was still being cleaned. We kept being told a few more minutes and finally was able to get to our room around 4 pm. Our bags were supposed to be brought to us but after about an hour I went to the lobby and our bags were still waiting there so I grabbed them myself. One of the front desk staff did intercept me however before I left to take the bags the remainder of the way. I don’t have any major complaints however. If you’re looking for more of a laidback vibe as opposed to around the clock entertainment this may be a good resort for you. Although we would have liked more entertainment and activities we were fine with the chill vibe on this particular trip since we both just wanted to relax the majority of the time anyway.

Etwas älteres All-Inclusive-Hotel mit sehr gutem Frühstück. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind etwas älter, Sauberkeit ist aber gegeben. Von den Spezialitätenrestaurants können wir das Don Pablo und das Takara empfehlen. Wir haben dort sehr gut gegessen und einen hervorragenden Service erlebt. Nicht so gut war unsere Erfahrung im El Pescador. Dieses Restaurant befindet sich im Schwestern-Hotel La Romana, ist aber im All-Inclusive-Angebot des Bouganville enthalten. Hier war ein deutlicher Qualitätsunterschied zu den anderen beiden Spezialitäten-Restaurants zu spüren. Die bestellten Gericht waren durchschnittlich, der Service um Klassen schlechter.

It was our first time here. The staff is very welcoming. They do not push for tips. Which was nice. It made me tip more. If you need anything they try their best to help you find it or get it. We toured the property because they home homes for sale. This also was a great experience. They were not pushy. We were not pushed for timeshares either. The entertainment staff was AMAZING! Maria is the sweetest. She is a very hard worker, and put in an amazing show every day. From yhe pool to the lounge. She deserves a raise. The pools are nice. You do have to put towels out on chairs by 8 am if you want close to the pool. We went to Don Pablo for one of the nights dinner. The food was great. The only issue was they tried over and over and over to make us buy a bottle of wine. Even after saying no multiple times. This was honestly the worst part of the trip. I would go back again to this resort.

Overall I would rate this Bahia location as average overall for an all inclusive. I would not recommend it for most people looking for all inclusive experience. Pros: some staff ( not most) went way above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. Ruben and Yajaira and Ana at quiet lobby bar were always smiling and provided great service. Marine and Pablo by quiet pool bar also always smiling and provided great service. Miguel who we saw at various locations, including the romantic beach dinner was on top of making sure we enjoyed our stay. There were other severs we enjoyed as well. The beach area had plenty of chairs and was calm and walkable (can’t enter water due to jellyfish). Property grounds kept immaculate. Rooms were for the most part clean and comfortable, although very few of the rooms would be considered an upgrade ( no views, plunge pools, etc.). Cons: everything on property is contaminated with cigarette smoke. The rooms are very smelly, public/common areas, bars and restaurants all saturated by cigarette smoke. We did not get any of the VIP benefits at all and first room was a downgrade from what we booked and paid for. Photos of room we booked showed partial ocean view Only a very few rooms have that view. Pool seating is very hard to get unless you save seats by 6-7 am. Rooms need upgrading. Lots of staff clearly unhappy and rude. Beach not swimmable. Food was not good all around.
