Great Helpful Staff & Clean Hotel

This is a Lovely Hotel in the Sultan Ahmet area of Istanbul. Close to local amenities. Hotel Staff are incredibly hospitable and I would most definately recommend this hotel to couples looking for a quiet time away.

The service was absolutely top notch; I really enjoyed chatting with the manager who was always helpful and willing to do whatever he needed to for the customers. The location is absolutely ideal for a visit to the old city. The area has tons of shops, restaurants, and all of the major sites within a few minutes walk.

We were pleasantly greeted by Abdul, our host, who set us up in a room, though we arrived before their check-in time. He further moved our luggage to another room the following day. He was most helpful is directing us to eateries, arranging for reservations to a Turkish bathhouse, and taxis to various locations. The location was great and rooms were very clean as well as having necessary amenities. Breakfast was very good with a rooftop view of the Marmar sea. We would definitely stay there again.

Non professional staff. Rude receptionist and noisy lobby. Receptionist receives his friends in hotel lobby with noise and no respect for families privacy. Surrounding hotels much better. The area is not safe during the night. Clean rooms but no elevator. Pretty expensive rate. Wash rooms are reasonable. Food are average. Access is difficult. old area in general. Beautiful antiques inside the lobby.

Comfort in Historical location

The hotel is a charming little place run by family. The service was great, we got a lot of help and everything we asked for. It felt like we were staying with a relative. The building is old, historic, so it was worn down a little but it was everything I was hoping for. Short walk to all historic monuments with lots of food options near by. We got the family suite because we were there for a friend’s wedding and it was very spacious and comfortable to get ready in. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic experience.

Cleaning lady gave us attitude

The cleaning lady didn't clean our room due to miscommunications. We didn't know she didn't understand English and she didn't tell us that. But when I complained about it to the front desk personnel the cleaning lady who also happened to be the person in charge for break fast showed us serious attitude. I'm letting it go because may be she is a poor lady and I had no intention of getting her into trouble but the hotel needa to employ more staff to take care of things. Using same person for multitasking shows stingy management mindset that's results into poor customer experience. I would never want that lady with disgruntled attitude near my breakfast place in any hotel stay.

We had a lovely stay here! It was close to some of the key local attractions which made it easy to come back for a nap between sight seeing (needed given our jet lagged state). Breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight!
