Creaking

Fine but the room creaked a lot. I know it's an old building but even my bed creaked when I turned. They are doing refurbishment so hopefully will improve.

A great stay

A really nice welcome on arrival. My room was amazing, a big 4 poster bed, old wooden wardrobe and period chair. Plenty of choice for tea and coffee. I had fish and chips which was lovely and I didnt see any plates on other tables that hadn't been eaten completely, so must be good. A real fire kept thing really nice and cosy and the guiness was spot on. Continental breakfast in the morning was great and my croissant was lively and fresh and warm.

Stayed in the Biko room. Large room, striking decor. All the expected room facilities. Beds and floorboards a bit creaky, and the room being above a busy popular bar came with predictable noises into the early hours, particularly Saturday. But, that said, we'd visit again.
