We stayed in the apartment this summer, and while we were very pleased with the friendly and helpful staff, we unfortunately encountered several serious issues with the apartment itself.
Sofa bed – The wooden supports for the mattress repeatedly came loose during the night, and the mattress itself was extremely thin, making it uncomfortable even for our 7-year-old to sleep on.
Pest problem – We found small cockroaches and silverfish in both the bathroom and kitchen. This was concerning as they could easily have gotten into our bags and food, creating potential problems after our return home.
Safety hazard for our child – Our 9-month-old, who crawls, found a loose doorstop on the floor and put it in his mouth. Thankfully, we noticed in time. While maintenance responded quickly by gluing a new one in place, the old part was left on the floor, creating the same hazard again. This could have been life-threatening.
We take the usual precautions for child safety (e.g., with electric outlets), but loose furniture or fixtures are not something guests should have to check for themselves.
