Nice Lake View not so great place

The only 4 star part of the trip was the lake view it was beautiful. Let’s start with check in no where does it say in the description there is no office. I got there looked around walked around no office had to ask a stranger whom asked if I got my text no no text gave me the number from his text to call man answers phone didn’t you get the text no no text I said I booked with hotels.com he oh so if your booking from this platform don’t expect to be told how to check in which by the way is the key left in the door of your room which is a drive up door that anybody can access not so safe being a female alone. Let’s go to the room well very plain that’s ok the bugs all over the floor and window not so much. Bugs in the floor of the shower I skipped a bath opting to wait for the next stop. The shampoo and soap in the shower were very off brand and looked to be watered down. Again I skipped. Time for dinner the adjacent boat house grill said on google open it was not drove to 3 different places via google said open were not found a diner 4 towns away about 45 min drive each way. Got back went to turn on the tv no tv because no internet connected tried hot spotting nope no Bluetooth on the tv searching internet was one listed for hotel but needed a password desk number does not answer phone past 9 pm so no tv. For a 100 dollar room the only thing worth saying anything positive about was the view. Do not feel the previous review stars were truthful.

This property had limited parking with unsafe an unsafe entrance do to other cars, there was no inside door lock for safty/security just an outside key lock, bathroom had mold all over the shower curtian and the bathroom door would not close.

The property was nice. The tv worked. The ac worked. The lake front was nice. The check in and out process weird. I swear I was not told what room I was in and when I got there no one was there to check me in. We walked around the property found 2 guys working asked them. They said the key was in the door already. Check out was the same just leave the key in the door. I called them to verify this was correct-yes.

It was wonderful staying next to Lake. The facilities is what I would expect staying next to a lake. It was hard at first to check in. The office wasn’t clearly identified.

Booked room around 10PM and got text saying room would be unlocked with key inside room. That made my wife really nervous! Was about 10 miles off highway and this is in the boonies! (It didn't help that it was really foggy out and made the drive kind or eerie). As we're about 1/4 mile from the property, the area was really sketchy! Place had a bunch of junk around it in front of our room. We didn't even get out of our truck. We didn't like the look and "feel" of the area, so we left. It might be a great place, but the location (at least at night) seemed really poor. We texted them back letting them know that we never entered the property and the door was still unlocked and we never heard back from them.

The Inn was nicely renovated. The parking was odd and it was a bit overwhelming. We tried the restaurant, it was well thought out, but wrong area for a night crowd. A nice breakfast or brunch/lunch would have been a great touch! Overall, we would visit again.

Enjoyed the view. The Grill onsite is really nice and modern. The Rooms are nice with a fresh update. The Grounds can be great but are still improving the common area grounds from the rooms to the water and docks. Affordable, nice and quiet. Summer 2025 should be great when they get the grass manicured and coming in strong in the Spring !!
