Absolutely disgraceful. Our room was completely buried in sand after the storm, luggage, belongings, everything coated. We spent hours cleaning them piece by piece. Management’s response? Nothing. No room change. No refund. No compensation whatsoever. This is beyond unacceptable, it’s negligent.

The property is very quaint and charming, and while the room itself was minimal it was also clean, cozy and quiet. No docking regarding water shortages given the work going on in the park and the nature of the Death Valley area. Restaurant had only buffet service but this was also cozy and quiet with friendly staff like Elisa. But really Chris is one of the warmest and friendliest people I’ve met and really took my stay over the top with his willingness to offer fun suggestions and sightseeing/hiking scavenger hunts complete with printed maps and directions, plus making”Death Valley Explorer” pins, lending a pair of binoculars and even offering more stops and directions on the way to my next destination in 29 Palms. His wealth of love and knowledge for the area is palpable and truly winning. If you have any interest in national parks, night sky and stargazing, and Death Valley in particular and go into the park knowing what to expect you’ll really treasure your stay here.

What a great place to stay! The rooms are clean and simple. There is a very nice pool which is open until midnight. The general store here has lots of cool national park themed merchandise, grab and go food, including tasty pre-packaged ice cream bars, lots of drink varieties and even very friendly staff running the place. The saloon serves excellent food as does the adjacent restaurant. This location is very close to the sand dunes as well as Mosaic Canyon, so that is convenient. We highly recommend this location, even over Furnace Creek Ranch.

Rooms are so small...Smaller than what the PICs on the website portray it to be. HIGHLY CRAMPED UP ROOM. No place to even keep small portable luggage. No Coffee in room. Even the LOUNGE has no coffee except from 9pm-7am, when nobody even is going to drink coffee. How stupid ..Not a customer care attitude..! Ice machine didn't work. NO Jaccuzzi Tub like what the PIC showed. THE BEST PART WAS THE BREAKFAST SPREAD..! What an awesome variety. Excellent BF...!! Horrible, 2 thin pillows.. should have at least 4 pillows. The door has to be slammed to really close it and lock it..WAKING UP EVERYBODY next door...!

Io e mio marito abbiamo dormito per una notte in questa struttura. Commenti positivi e negativi che ci hanno un po' lasciati in dubbio, ma è la struttura migliore per visitare la Death Valley. UBICAZIONE: E' uno dei pochissimi hotel della zona. Circondato dal nulla e quindi arrivate con il serbatoio pieno e con la pancia piena nel caso in cui arrivate tardi in quanto il ristorante che fa capo all'hotel chiude. All'esterno credo ci fosse anche la piscina, ma noi siamo andati in inverno e non ci è servita. SERVIZIO : personale cordiale ci ha dato indicazioni sull'hotel e sulla nostra camera. La mattina, andando via presto, non abbiamo fatto colazione e abbiamo lasciato le chiavi in quanto la reception è aperta h24.. C'era una macchinetta con snack e bevande all'ingresso dove c'era la reception. CAMERA : piccola, un po' squallida, non particolarmente sporca ma neppure pulita a lustro. Letto da una piazza e mezza, tavolino con TV appesa. Frigobar e due bicchieri. Piccolo angolo dove appendere le giacche con ferro da stiro e asse. Poche prese per ricaricare i telefoni. La camera era comunque calda (ricordo che abbiamo soggiornato a dicembre). Il BAGNO : Piccolo. Wc, lavandino e doccia con tenda. Dispencer di saponi e shampoo. Piccolo phon a parete. RAPPORTO QUALITA' PREZZO : per la tipologia di camera è un prezzo davvero alto, credo davvero ci facciano la cresta vista la splendida posizione. Non essendoci molto altro nelle vicinanze andava benissimo, tanto più per una sola notte

Room was clean, simple, and functional. But it was not particularly quiet, and we heard car doors slam all night. That was aggravated by people sleeping in their truck outside our room. I didn't realize your parking lot was a campsite, but you had people using it that way.

Rooms have been upgraded since my last visit in 2021. New heat pumps provide quiet heat/cool. All the employees we met were friendly, pleasant, and happy to provide information about Death Valley. The onsite restaurant is okay, but could stand improvement. Check-in/out was quick snd simple. Coffee was an issue. No coffeemakers in rooms. The machine in the registration lobby was broken, as was the coffee machine in the general store. That meant hitting the restaurant for takeout coffee every morning.
