I have stayed at this Inn previously but the room they allocated this time was poor, shower controls hanging off the wall bathroom radiator didn't work just looked tired. Ate dinner in the Inn and it was very good staff were friendly and helpful

December stay 2024
I stayed here because my dance class at Claverton is near and Beckington was easy to get to off the A36. The staff were super friendly and the dinner I had was lovely, hot and well cooked. My only critique is that I had asked whether my room was in a quiet location and it actually wasn't. The noise from the bar was very loud and went on until after 11:30 which spoiled my visit a bit. I also think that an upgrade of the bathroom is probably due for room 4.

When we first arrived we were greeted so nicely by a lovely lady and the main entrance was so welcoming. Then we went to our room…. The room was in great need of TLC, and it had a funny smell. When going to the bathroom in the room it was in so much need of maintenance, toilet seat was broken, sink was cracked but the worst bit was the flies. For the whole stay we killed 10 massive flies in the bathroom and then in the morning we found them in the actual room. The breakfast was like it had been cooked in a bucket of lard and we also found a hair on the plate. The hotel is like a sauna…. Their electricity bill must be sky high. I would never stay here again.

50 min wait for breakfast and very run down rooms
Evening meal and staff were great. The room wasnt expected to be great but was hugley overpriced. Lots of damage and falling apart. Bed was ok but bathroom was a state and needs a full refurb. Iron ruined one of my shirts immediately and was burning. Also had a broken water lid. I stayed in room 2. I was first in for breakfast at 7am. It took 50 minutes before i received my food which was very poorly cooked.

Justine & her team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. They really should be commended for their genuine attentiveness & care, ensuring that we had a very enjoyable & comfortable stay. The food also was first class.

The place needs a good scrub in all areas and painting. Put out sign to service room and towels not changed and bed roughly made. Toilet didn’t flush well. Couldn’t adjust really hot shower, it seemed like tempering valve not adjusted correctly. Fabric seating in accommodation badly stained and in other hotel common area. Would be great with a good clean up and care.

We were asked if we wanted to make a reservation for dinner. We replied no, and after that the manager was cool towards us. After we had a meal in the pub, we still received cool service.
