I had a pleasant stay. The room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately the dated decor lets it down a bit.

Some floors are redone recently, but the most of the interior is quite dated. Staff is friendly, service good and the breakfast is plenty.

Avoid if you can
Noisy as very near busy road. Hotel is old and worn and in need of refurbishment. No air conditioning so with windows open you hear all the traffic noise and a little difficult obtaining a fan. A bit disorganised in particular at the bar but not helped by restrictions on Covid. We arrived a little early check was 3pm a we knew that but the receptionist did not even try to check I’d the rooms were ready and that was at 2.45, oh well you live and learn and the Dutch are normally much more helpful and nice. Personally I would avoid if you have the choice. WiFi is very good.

WORST HOTEL STAY EVER! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED
WORST HOTEL STAY IN MY LIFE! You couldn’t pay me to stay in this hotel again. The staff were rude, insincere and useless. We had several big bags, a dog and one of us was heavily pregnant. When we checked in, the concierge asked if we had any COVID symptoms to which we said no. His response “keep it that way”. That in itself sums up the rudeness of the hotel staff. We asked if anyone could help us to our room and the concierge smirked, and all he offered was a trolley. So we struggled with our bags and got to the room. It was disgusting. Marks and stains everywhere, the tv didn’t work, the lights didn’t work. Words can’t describe how vile the room was. We were only staying one night so decided to just deal with it and headed down to the bar for food. We waited an age to be served, and when we asked if they had anything suitable to feed our dog the waitress just looked at us, muttered something and went away. All they could offer was a steak, which was fine but this hotel is meant to be dog friendly. However, we were treated like leper’s by staff and guests because we had a dog (even though he was kept on a lead and away from everyone). When we finally got the food it was just as disgusting and vile as the room, as well as overpriced. The next morning we come down to our scheduled breakfast slot. We had to check out at 11 but the service was so slow and poor (they gave us the wrong order) we rushed to eat the food. Overall, this hotel offers nothing but sheer disappointment.

4/10 Fair

This hotel was very worn out looking. The beds and mattresses were both foam which made you fall off if moved around a lot. The bathroom had a horrible drain smell and the sink tap was always very hot. The room had no air/heating control and the room was very hot. We had the window open all the time which didn’t help as the hotel is on a corner of two main roads so you hear the cars all day.

Pleasant hotel
Not that easy to locate!. Standard rooms are on the road side of the hotel but still not too noisy at night when the window is closed. Nice restaurant serving good food. Small but pleasant bar. Decent place for the price.

Good service with the staff speaking a good level of English. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. This is my third visit to the area for work and the third hotel I've stayed at, I will be in the area again soon and will definitely be staying here again

2/10 Poor

This hotel was booked for a business trip. The room of this hotel that was given to me at first had so many large dark stains all over the carpet and the light oak furniture was black with a greasy, grimy filth that one would expect in a subway. I requested a different room and was given one with a hard surface floor, which helped with stains. The oak furniture was so worn out that the finish was missing in many places. I tried finding another hotel in the area but there were no rooms available. It is an extremely noisy hotel as well, traffic is loud and footsteps in the hallway echo on the hard surfaces. There was one night that I only got 3 hours of sleep between the noisy guests and loud early morning traffic (5:00am).

Ok for a stopover
Ok but needs decoration. Room was tired. Plugs in wrong place. Rubbish paper cups for hot drinks which were too small and inadequate for purpose. Staff great. Cheaper to book with Expedia than so called Fletcher Friend

Nice Staff & Restaurant, but the Room isn't
The hotel staffs were very friendly and getting me what I needed right away. The restaurant was also very good and nice. Lunch was awesome compared to the price. Only thing I did not like was the room. It was not as clean as other hotels I stayed in the Netherlands. If you are looking for a nice & clean room, I would rather stay at hotels in The Hague.

2/10 Poor

Not a 1 star
The room quality was poor and extremely dated it was supposed to be an executive room.It was in desparate need of upgrade and decoration. Bedd and bedding were clean however. There were large cracks in walls, wall paper missing and in a general state of dilapidation. Restaurant service was ok and food ok. Not good, but ok. I will not be staying there again. If I had paid half the price billed it still would have been over valued. If you value anything other than just clean bedding then don't stop there. Reception staff pleasant.
