Hotel is new and located at a very convenient spot. Just a stones throw from all that is worth visiting in Chinatown. Very near to the MRT station that will connect you to any other place you want to visit. Loved the decor of the hotel. Room was spacious, clean, and had a good view. Amenities were adequate, water pressure of shower was perfect. Bedding was super comfortable. Air cond temperature got a little inconsistent in the middle of the night and had to wake up to adjust the temperature because it got a little hot. But overall had a good nights sleep. The only let down was the breakfast. We arrived at the breakfast hall around 7:45 am. Due to the Covid situation, guests weren’t allowed to take their own food at the buffet and instead had to wait for staff to prepare the order at each station and hand it to the guests. There were only 4 staff at the food stations, and so many people lining up to order the food. It was also confusing because it wasn’t clear where we were supposed to line up for the food. I nearly wanted to give up and eat elsewhere. The staff were overwhelmed as the same few people had to prepare the orders and clean the tables at the same time. However, after about half an hour later, more staff including the chefs turned up and the queue for food finally improved. The breakfast spread was a basic mix of local and western food. I wonder if it would have been better pre-Covid situation. I wasn’t motivated to return for seconds.
