To preface this review: yes, I have tried contacting the hotel directly regarding my concerns. I submitted their online form and also emailed the email address listed on their website, but haven't heard a thing back. I have given fair opportunity for them to contact me prior to writing this review.
To start: the staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. Can't fault them for how they interact with their customers!
We recently had two rooms booked at the hotel, one room for two nights, and one room for just the second of those nights for family that was joining later.
We checked into our first room and were struck by how filthy the floor was. We walked around in socks for a bit but when we saw how grimy the bottoms of our socks instantly became, we stuck to wearing shoes the entire time. Definitely off-putting, but we could tolerate a dirty floor for a couple nights.
The second concern came the first morning when I realized that I hadn't packed toothbrushes for my two kids. My husband was taking them down for breakfast anyway, so I asked him to ask the front desk for a couple toothbrushes.
He returned to the room holding two unwrapped and mismatched toothbrushes. It struck me as a bit odd, but I was preoccupied with getting the family ready for a wedding that three of us were in, so I didn't pause to look closer.
