I’d stayed at the Shoreline 4 or 5 times prior to this stay,all except the first time booked directly with Shoreline.i was going to book through them for this trip but the price was raised a substantial amount the day before and there was a deal on Hotels.com so I booked the deal. We showed up about 3.5 hours before check-in and I asked just about parking so we could grab some beach time. I was asked if we wanted to check-in and we could go get some lunch and the room should be ready. There was a snide comment made because we had booked that morning through Hotels rather than them. We go back close to 90 minutes later and told it wasn’t ready, there’s only 1 maid and they only guaranteed check-in by 4pm. It was said a little aggressively, they were the ones who offered, I had only been asking about parking. We were told we would get a call when the room was ready. 4pm rolls around and hadn’t heard anything so I went to the office and asked if room was ready and why they hadn’t called. They said they tried,I asked what # they had and it was the correct one so obviously they lied about it. I like the hotel but with the way I was played with by their staff because I went with Hotels.com rather than directly with them ( they were $70 a night more ) and they were definitely bothered by that, its is a nice place to stay ,right on the beach & comfortable rooms. I’d always enjoyed it there and stayed multiple times but because of the staff I will never stay there again or recommend.
