And the rain came down. Soiled sheets

have read others who say it needs some upkeep. It absolutly needs that. I chose it for location. Also, the free hot breakfast was particularly enticing and that turned out to be good. 1. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. 2. The restaurant is a bit disjointed as to what type of place it is, but the breakfast was good. The coffee was terrible in the restaurant and in the room. The evening meal, I had the butter chicken which was excellent. The service at breakfast and dinner was great. 3. The elevator sounds like it will seize up any minute. Please have both elevators serviced before people get trapped. 4. The glassware in the room had streaks like someone just wiped them out with a rag (questionable). Better to use disposable. This issue was true in my first room as well as the one I was moved to. 5. A pipe or something broke over my bathroom on the last night I was there. I was moved to a new room which seemed like it had been updated. The mattress was just as saggy and old as the first room I was in. The bed sheets were dirty (see Photo). By this time it was late and I just made some adjustments to get away from the filth. When I was getting ready in the morning the Iron had black sticky something on it (photo) and the chrome around the drain was broken in the bathroom sink (bad installation). Just a summary, but the overall sentiment was that this place needs management to actually pay attention or care. The number of deficiencies I saw shows a systemic issu

I have stayed at the Podollan many times. Beds are comfortable which is important. However , some lights did not work. The room overall is dark, especially the bathroom. The mirror light didn’t work either. We only had one face cloth in our room and requested more but did not receive them. The exit stairways were filthy with apparent locals sleeping in the stairwells. There were cigarette butts everywhere. This was like this all weekend. I don’t like the fact they charge you 30$ a night for a pet. That’s almost 30-40% of actual cost of room. I’m not sure why this cost is so much. Our little dog does not shed nor does he go to to the bathroom in there. We pay a deposit before we stay and if there are any situations with the pet then it should come off the deposit. I think it’s just a money grab if you ask me. I may look at staying somewhere else my next time in town.

I always stay at this property and it has never failed me. I will continue to stay there but this particular stay and room was not as clean as the others I’ve stayed in. Walls were very stained in the bathroom and by the desk. Had to wipe them down so I didn’t have to look at it.

Comfortable room.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Lots of room. It was nice to have coffee in the room plus fridge and microwave. It was a bonus to have breakfast included in the stay. Restaurants nearby or Jax at the hotel.
