Rude and Poor Service
Stayed in many hotels across Japan over the years and a few Daiwa Roynet branch too. This Osaki hotel was by far the most disappointing in terms of service.
Front desk staff inexperienced. One of our room key didn't work so we requested a new card. It took three staff to reissue a room card and hence a lot of time waiting for them.
The worse however was a staff working at breakfast service. He had long hair tied in a man-bun. He was rude to my wife and child. Didn't believe my child was 6 years old and challenged her age (she's 120cm tall). I went out to the toilet, came back and he asked for breakfast ticket. I said I already give it to him the first time . He frowned in disbelieve and said "Really? When?" I said 5min ago and pointed to my wife and daughter who was already at the seat. I sat with my family but the entire time he kept staring at us and shaking his head in anger like i've cheated and stole hotel breakfast. It left a very sour taste to the whole hotel experience at Daiwa Roynet Osaki and dispel any preconceived ideas that Japanese hospitability is world class.
I do not recommend this hotel unless you enjoy poor service and being treated with hostility.
