We had stayed in Homewood suite before. That's the main reason why we came back. I have to say, my first experience here was way better than my second experience. When we arrived, the insinkerator did not work already. We were holding off and did not want to bother anyone. Until day 2nd, all the water just would not go down anymore. So we called maintenance. The guys came fast and fixed fast too. Then he said lettuce leaves could not go into the insink garbage disposal?? There was only one small leaf debris floating in the water. And I never heard of that kind of comments before. I put lettuce leaves down my in-sink garbage disposal at home all the time. No problem there. The room was good. It has a separate living room area with a door in between the living room and the bedroom. So that was very helpful for sound proofing. I am not sure whether it was because our room was on the first floor or because it was a rainy day. We found a couple of mosquito in the room and two little spiders crawling on the bathroom floor.

Convenient, efficient and comfortable
A bit different from the resort type hotel we usually stay. Nice change of pace, kitchen was wonderful as an alternative to uber eats etc. Staff was professional and friendly. We will certainly consider this in our next ventures

I like it! I would come back.
Our stay was very good, the place was clean; however, it could use a deep cleaning and everything would be excellent! The guy at the front desk, Jason, was very friendly, so that was a great first impression! The only thing that wasn’t very comfortable was the sofa bed—the mattress is very thin and uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was great, and I would definitely come back with my family.

Great place for extended stays with the family
Rooms are comfortable and clean. I loved that we had a room option with a separate bedroom. Fantastic with children. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was great. It's directly across from an airport and you can hear the planes in the morning but not enough to be a problem. I would happily stay here again

OK but not great
We stayed for about two weeks, visiting from Europe. Location in the middle of a business park. The hotel was undergoing a much-needed renovation leading to water being turned off one day, the open path to the breakfast room through the hotel changing, etc. Also, the breakfast went from decent to horrible back to decent due to the kitchen undergoing renovation during our stay. The room smelled a bit musty, so we left the windows cracked most days, but the very close distance to the Palomar airport precluded this at night. Old wall-to-wall carpet, fake wood cabinetry, and some of the furniture with old worn out stuffing. On the plus side: the bed was really comfortable, and the personnel tried their very best to listen to our concerns and make us as comfortable as they could.

Pictures do not represent reality of quality
The pictures of this hotel do not do its reality justice. Furniture was old, dirty, and dinged up. Carpets were super worn and in common area not vacuumed while we were there. Phone in room did not work (had to walk down to request a blanket for pull out sofa - of which room was reserved for 5, you would think it would just be there but I was told I had to request it.) Sliding front doors were broken so they had to stay stuck open which made for a chilly breakfast sitting in the dining hall. Didn't see a staff at all cleaning up the food on the floor during breakfast but there was staff at the front counter not doing much. They were doing some renovation but there was evidence of it left around (painters tape just left on floor in common area even though painting was done.) Overall, this place was one of the dumpiest hotels I've stayed in in my life.

Pro: It was convenient to have a kitchenette in our room so that we weren’t required to eat out for every meal. The room was spacious as well. Con: sugar ants in the shower. No dish soap or scrubbers in the kitchen. Overall happy with our stay!
