The hotel was great. The lobby area could use some furniture upgrade, but other than that the facilities were very well kept, extremely clean and beautiful.
The pools are amazing, big, clean and never feel crowded. The kids water park may be in need of new slides but the ones that are there still work really well and my kids had an amazing time. The water park is super fun and varied for kids 3-12 I would say. We enjoyed the restaurants, the buffet, the amazing views of the ocean and the pools so much. The food in general was very good for an all inclusive. My oldest kid and my husband did the Go karts twice and they loved it. Also visited the bowling alley and arcades at the Maya Mall. The beach at the Maya Palace is rocky but just a couple of hotels down it is much better and we could enjoy it there. Very calm and beautiful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, great bathroom too. We did pay for Premium level Junior Suite Oceanfront. We got a great room location as well, facing the pools and the ocean. In general our experience was really positive and we are already planning to come back.
