This hotel was by far the most cleanest, beautiful hotel I’ve stood at. They allow me to do an early check-in. The staff treated you like royalty. It was so clean they were fresh flowers everywhere. The buffet was the best buffet I’ve ever experience with the most pleasant chefs walking around. There is also a Michelin star restaurant on site which was a plus. The room I stood in at the perfect view. The amenities in the room were absolutely amazing. The room felt like it was my own personal villa. I have to also mention what it was very quiet.

Another lovely stay

First room was great but after contacting the hotel manager he moved us to one which was better and what we was expecting. The staff here round the pool are exceptional, the lifeguard Hun is so kind to our little girl both times we have stayed here. The staff here Really go above and beyond making the hotel experience 5 star, especially when you have children. Cold flannels bought round, your sunglasses cleaned and bottles of cold water bought to your subbed are some of the nice touches at this hotel.

Amazing stay at Shangri-la

What an amazing hotel! We absolutely loved the Grand Mosque view from our room. Spacious and beautiful rooms. The main pool has breathtaking views. We absolutely loved the gondola rides in the evening. These are free for in-house guests. There is a souk nearby however you can walk 10 minutes to the outdoor Al Qana shopping mall with dozens of great restaurants and amazing views over the canal. I fully recommend this place. Unfortunately the hotel no longer has a playground for kids.

Hotel was generally good however, I feel that the staff need extra training. It was always difficult to get staff to come to our table, we were asking more than once for drinks, cutlery (that should have been there), plates to be collected. Beach was good, pool was good, room was good. Everything was clean and the buffet was excellent. Would have enjoyed my trip more if the staff were more attentive and we didn't feel like we were disturbing their daydreaming, anytime we asked for something.

The property was nice. HOWEVER, EXPEDIA advertises theme park tickets with the stay of a deluxe room. The property didn’t know anything about it so we were never provided those tickets. Advertised 4 pools however one was closed for maintenance so only 1 more was open. The other pools were in other hotels. Other than that the hotel was nice, very quiet and clean. Buffet was good until I seen people coughing around the food and not covering their mouths.
