There’s a few good things about this hotel. The location is decent, even though it’s not right across the street from the beach, it’s in that general location and also close to Downtown, would be considered walkable for most but longer walks than listed on the site. They allow pets on the bottom floor if you need to travel with your dog. The deluxe rooms on the top floor have an adjoining bedroom, so they’re ideal if you want extra privacy. My kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. The landscaping on the grounds is cute and there’s free parking if you can find a space. Property felt safe, not too loud and ok for families. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Overall the hotel feels a bit rundown and dated, don’t think it’s been touched much since the 90s minus the headboards. There’s nothing luxurious about this hotel at all but it’s mostly clean however the carpets were questionable. The elevator and our rooms smelled musty, mostly due to dirty AC units. We were told we could change rooms but I didn’t feel like dealing with this on our short vacation and I wasn’t sure the other rooms would be better. They offered us a can of ozium and that helped a bit. The deluxe rooms have a desk in the bedroom but only one of the front rooms in the two units we occupied had a single chair. A small table and two chairs would be nice in case you want to eat in your room. We needed the deluxe rooms to meet our needs but if I wasn’t traveling with family, I would choose a nicer hotel.
